Welcome to Thu Thiem International Service (TTIS). We are a collection of inquirers, new Christians, and long-time Christians from many different denominations and more than 20 countries.

When we gather for services on Sunday mornings, we come to: 1) praise the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; 2) grow closer to Jesus by listening and applying His Word to our lives; and 3) love and serve each other as Christ has first loved us.

This is going to be an amazing season of mastering leadership at TTIS. As we study the book of Nehemiah this fall, we are going to learn God-centered leadership principles from the life of this man, one of the greatest leaders of all time. Someone writes on the subtext of Nehemiah’s work:

“Nehemiah is regarded as the wall builder in Jerusalem, and this is the theme that resonates in the book. But his story is not only about building the physical walls of Jerusalem for physical protection, it is also a story of building spiritual walls around the people with the Word of God and thus building up the people as well”.

Whom do we call a true leader, looking at life of Nehemiah? The one who doesn't strive to be on top, but considers his authority to be a means for serving others. The one who invests time and prayer to seek for new opportunities and build relationships with people and shares his life with them. The one who accepts the responsibility to be an example of righteous life and to serve other brothers and sisters in Christ.

There is no need to reinvent the wheel to bring God-centered leadership into action. In fact, we are those wheels in the sight of the Lord. Any wheel receives its power through a number of spokes radiating from the center. The center of our lives is Jesus Christ. Spokes are areas of our spiritual life and factors of spiritual growth. Vertical spokes symbolize our relationship with the Lord (prayer and the Word), horizontal spokes – with other people (testimony and fellowship). By means of these rods we both keep God's commands and are refilled with His power.

Here at TTIS God is creating the momentum to make all these wheels spin together and become an effective community of believers in the hands of the Lord, leading others to the abundant love of Jesus Christ.

What are you observing about your personal season of leadership?

God bless you as you learn to be His leader,

Dmitry

statement of faith

Our core beliefs are rooted in Scripture, rather than speculation or tradition. Though we seek to be relevant to the times, we choose to anchor ourselves to the rock of timeless truth. What follows are some of those timeless truths, with Scripture references included.

statement of faith

There are four key principles or practices that govern the way we engage and relate as Christians. In short we call them our 4 W’s. They are, the Word, Worship, Warmth of community, and Witness to the world.

Word. We believe the only relevant message that the church has is contained in the inerrant Word of God. We hold it as infallible in the original Scriptures. We seek as far as our frail natures will allow, to proclaim its contents, in all their glory and majesty, every time we gather as a community.

Worship. We understand that the chief aim of man is to glorify and worship the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Worship is a foundational and central part of all Christian living. We worship both in singing as a community as well as the music of our daily living.

Warmth. We want to be a community characterized by authentic love, affection and service to one another. We understand the distinguishing characteristic of believers must be their love for one another. This is expressed in meaningful and substantial care, compassion and service towards each other.

Witness. Finally, we believe the mission of the church is to share the Gospel with others. We need to be a community that is primarily outward looking and which focuses its time and resources on delivering the Gospel to those who have not heard or who have heard and have not yet understood.
